But to improve the die of aluminum extrusion press, we should start from the details, do a good job of statistical analysis and cost management of the die, so as to seize the opportunity.

    How to solve this problem? How to improve the quality of the extruder of aluminum alloy profile?

    1. The front work belt on the mold must be polished and polished, and the working belt is generally required to be polished to the mirror.

    Check for the flatness and perpendicularity of the die working belt before assembly. The quality of nitriding determines the polishing degree of the working belt to a certain extent. The mould cavity must be cleaned up with high-pressure gas and brush. No dust or foreign matter can be found. Otherwise, it will easily damage the work belt under the action of metal flow and make the extruded products appear rough or streak.

    Two, during the extrusion process, the mold holding time is usually about 2-3 hours, but it can't exceed 8 hours. Otherwise, the hardness of the nitrided layer will decrease, which will lead to the surface roughness of the profiles and serious defects such as streak.

    Three, the proper method of alkali washing (boiling) is used. When the die is unloaded, the mold temperature is above 500 degree C. If immersion in alkali water immediately, because the temperature of alkali water is much lower than that of the mold, if the mold temperature drops rapidly, the mold will easily crack. The correct method is to put the mold in the air to 100 -150 C and then immerse in the alkali water after the mold is unloaded.

    Four. Optimize the extrusion process. In order to prolong the life of the mold scientifically, the rational use of the mould for production is an aspect that can not be ignored. Because the working conditions of the extrusion die are very bad, reasonable measures must be taken to ensure the organization and performance of the die in the extrusion production.

    Five. A reasonable surface nitriding process for the die must be carried out in the early use of the extrusion die. The surface nitriding treatment can greatly improve the surface hardness of the mold on the premise of maintaining the toughness enough to reduce the thermal wear of the mold. It should be noted that surface nitriding is not completed at one time. During the service period, 3-4 times of nitriding treatment is required. The nitrided layer thickness is generally about 0.15mm.

    Six, the use of the mould is used from low to high to low. When the die just entered service period, the performance of internal metal structure is still in floating stage. During this period, a low intensity operation plan should be adopted, so as to make the mold transition to a stable stage.

    Seven, strengthen the use and maintenance records of the mold during the extrusion process, and improve the records and management of the tracking records of each set of moulds. From the acceptance of the extrusion die to the end of the use of the die, the middle time is short for a few months, and the length is more than one year. Basically, the recording of the use of the mold also records the process of the production of the profile.
